Scientific research

Research methods and ethical issues

1) To conduct laboratory and production research, GOST methods will be used, modern certified research instruments and equipment will be used. Theoretical studies will be carried out using current programs, such as the Thixomet image analyzer of the microstructure of metals and alloys, the PolygonSoft computer modeling system for foundry processes, and the ThermoCalc program for thermodynamic calculations. Experimental studies will use methods for studying materials, such as porosimetry, electron microscopy, X-ray phase and X-ray diffraction analyses, and methods for determining mechanical properties. The reliability of the results and conclusions obtained will be justified by research carried out on the basis of scientific ideas about the formation of metal systems, technological features of the formation of casting molds, gas dynamics, thermodynamic calculations of phase equilibrium, mathematics and system analysis. Also, all theoretical results will be confirmed by research in laboratory and production conditions. Monitoring of the Kazakhstan market and information analysis on the topic of the program will be carried out in order to select the optimal technology for the production of precision parts from an experimental KVES; the properties of the alloy obtained using the proposed technology will be investigated; The developed technology will be tested and, if necessary, adjusted taking into account the results obtained.

2) Brief description of the most important experiments:

  • thermodynamic calculations of phase transformation using Thermo-Calc software;

  • obtaining data on structure parameters after melting in different selected modes;

  • melting experimental alloys in an induction furnace using different modes to test technological parameters;

  • study of the microstructure of experimental alloys at different levels: metallographic analysis, electron microscopy;

  • study of the phase composition: XRF, MRSA, X-ray diffraction to study the fine structure and the nature and structure of the resulting phases;

  • study of mechanical properties: tensile strength, impact strength, yield strength, hardness, corrosion resistance, heat resistance;

  • testing the technology at the production site using industrial equipment;

3) The goal of the Program will be achieved through the use of modern methods of structural and phase composition of alloys and assessment of mechanical and operational properties: metallographic analysis, methods for determining mechanical properties, porometry, electron microscopy, X-ray structural and X-ray phase analysis, fractographic analysis, ultrasonic flaw detection, etc. Also Appropriate computer programs, mathematical planning of the experiment, and processing of the results will be used.

The research methods used make it possible to obtain complete and reliable information about the chemical, structural, phase composition and structure of the resulting phases of new alloys.

4) For experimental studies, GOST-standardized methods will be used using modern research instruments and equipment. All equipment planned for use has verification certificates and is accredited in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025-2019. The reliability of the results obtained will be ensured by research conducted on the basis of scientific concepts and the apparatus of metallurgy. The results are confirmed by repeatability and statistical data.

The scientific methods used for research guarantee the achievement of the stated goal of the Program. The reliability of the results obtained will be confirmed by their repeatability and statistical data, including in independent laboratories of other research centers, including foreign ones.

5) To protect and share intellectual property rights to the research results, we will adopt the following methods of protection:

  1. obtaining copyright for a work of science (in accordance with Article 9 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Copyright and Related Rights) by registration in official registers, which will be carried out by the authorized body in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan (obtaining a patent, etc.); use of a copyright sign (placed on each copy of the work and necessarily consisting of three elements: the Latin letter © in a circle; the name of the holder of exclusive copyright; the year of first publication of the work), as well as an ISBN;

  2. ensuring the confidentiality of scientific materials on the topic of the program before publication in print, i.e. their recording and strict control;

  3. conclusion of an author's agreement between members of the research group on the division of their copyrights in scientific works.

In accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Law on Intellectual Property No. 6-I dated 06/10/1996, Article 10.
